Newly Diagnosed With Triple Negative Breast Cancer?
You’re Not Alone.
I remember the moment I was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer. I felt terrified, overwhelmed, and completely alone.
I searched everywhere for someone who understood what I was about to face — and couldn’t find it.
Today I’m a survivor, and I help newly diagnosed women navigate the first weeks after diagnosis with clarity, emotional support, and hope.
My Journey
In May 2023, my life changed when I was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer.
Years earlier, I had found a lump but ignored it while navigating the stress of work and everyday life. When it eventually began to throb and cause discomfort, I finally made the appointment to have it checked—just to be safe. That decision led to a diagnosis that instantly filled me with fear, uncertainty, and a deep sense of losing control over my health and future.
The weeks that followed were some of the hardest of my life. I waited what felt like forever for surgery and a treatment plan, trying to process what was happening while preparing for the road ahead. I ultimately completed 16 weeks of chemotherapy and a condensed course of radiation, while focusing deeply on healing my body and mind throughout the process.
Alongside conventional treatment, I committed to supporting my body in every way I could—through nutrition, movement, rest, and working with naturopathic practitioners in addition to my medical team. I monitored my circulating tumour cells every three months and have successfully kept my levels low with no recurrence. Over time, I healed from neuropathy, regained my strength, and returned to living fully again.
Today, my hair has grown back, my health is strong, and I’m even expecting my second child after 40—something I once thought might never be possible.
But one thing stayed with me from the beginning of my diagnosis: how alone I felt.
When I was first diagnosed, I searched everywhere for someone who truly understood what I was about to face—and couldn’t find it.
That experience is why I created this space.
